The category got names from other countries like: Mr. Eazi, Mayorkun, Ycee, Kiss Daniel, Stonebwoy, Reekado Bankz, Victoria Kimani, Shatta Wale, Eazzy, Wiyalla and many more.

The West African Citizens Award is an award to acknowledge the accomplishments of West Africans both at home and itn diaspora.
The voting which commenced on the 4th of August and ends 23rd of August, 2017 will be an online voting through which the first five (5) who has the highest number of votes will be picked based on merit.
