Bobi Wine has expressed disappointment in Kanye West’s meeting with the Ugandan President Museveni.
According to Bobi Wine, the president doesn’t allow any musician who disagrees with him to stage a show in the country and as such expected Kanye West to be on the side of the musicians.
He was quoted saying “It would have been great if he had used his voice for the good of people in Africa,” he said. “I’m a musician but I am not allowed to stage a show in my own country because I disagree with the president. It is very disappointing”, he added.

Bobi Wine went on to call the meeting “immoral”, exclaiming that the rapper is “hobnobbing with a president who has been in power now for 32 years and restricts any freedom, a country where opposition activists are tortured and imprisoned”.
Bobi Wine went on to say that Kanye West should have “used his voice for the good of people in Africa” instead of using his image “just to rub shoulders with the president”.
