It is no longer news that, Nigeria’s topflight pop music star, David Adeleke a.k.a Davido has just set the serene QCity in The Gambia on fire with a scintillating performance two days ago, December 9th, 2018, what you haven’t heard is the sadness the silverspoon dude has left behind after his show.
And a case of assault has been reported against the award winning music icon, Davido at the Kololi Police post in The Gambia and there’s an indication that, the international police might be involved to find a way of bringing Davido back into The Gambia going by the weight of the violence and injury.
According to Enquirermag’s close sources, the OBO crooner who had a good show at the Gambia spoilt everything with his unbearable temper as he broke the head and tore the lips of one of Gamiba’s notable celebrity photographers who had come to cover the event.
The celebrity photographer who has been identified exclusively to Enquirermag as Kenny Egbuke is said to be in a critical condition in a private hospital in the Gambia where doctors are fighting tooth and nail to revive him.
We’re told that, the award winning musician had thrown a heavy cognac glass at the celebrity photographer at a slightest provocation, tearing his lips and seriously injuring his skull in the process.
Those privy to the horror scene confided in us that, Davido was slated to perform at the Big Apple Lounge after the show organised by Tekina, a London based Gambian big babe who owns Fast Entertainment, and in conjunction with Waka J VIP and Fizzle Entertainment but Davido ended up destroying so many things inside the upscale lounge before he left in company of his convoy.
Tracing the genesis of the unfortunate incident, this office gathered that, when Davido got to the lounge in company of his entourage which includes musician Braimo, DJ Dollar, AFRIMA’s Africa’s Best DJ and a retinue of bouncers, he declined to stay at the VVIP where his host had prepared for him, he was said to have insisted on the VIP terrace meant for the bourgeoisie and it was at this section that trouble began.
The source told Enquirermag that, Davido who began to smoke weed the moment he entered the club requested for food and it was while he was eating that the trouble really brewed.
A young lady who obviously was his fan had approached him for a selfie while he was eating, we were told the lady had taken a few shots before going close to him and this, we gathered did not go down well with Davido who sent her back shouting at her.
This, according to the source was what picked the celebrity photographer’s interest who tried to talk to Davido to take it easy with the lady since some star-struck ladies can be exuberantly aggressive, especially when they see a big star like Davido.
This was what sparked everything as the celebrity photographer’s advice further aggravated the temper of the stupendously rich music star and the next thing we learnt he did was throwing his very thick and heavy cognac glass directly at him with a full force shattering his lips and skull. We learnt he even attempted to break the Hennessey bottle on his head had his bouncers hadn’t saved the day.
There was pandemonium everywhere as the silverspoon musician was said to leave with all his entourage moments after.
Efforts to speak to the music star, Davido or his management team have been abortive but we have sent an email to the management of Big Apple for their own side of the story. We’re still digging more and hoping to speak to the celebrity photographer, Kenny Egbuke soon.
