Thousands of women and gender activists gathered to protest against the rising incident of gender based violence in the country.

The Afro-Pop singer has already released an awareness song titles “Say No 2 Rape” and is highly loved by the President.

Taking to social media, local celebrities shared the thoughts on a snap with the President Of The Republic Of Liberia.

In a photo shared on Monday by Kobazzie along with Mr. Weah, the artiste explained:

What a great moment and an opportunity to have sat with the people’s President, the country giant and one of African’s finest sons, His Excellency President George M. Weah, had serious discussion with him on gender based violence.

Thank you Mr. President for joining hands in fighting against gender based violence which is spreading faster in our society. Your action today will definitely keep the perpetrators on their knees and send a strong message that we are tired of seeing our ladies been abused without action from communities’ members or even the government. I was totally astonished when you said you love everything about my awareness music “Say No To Rape” and that your government will push the message.

My promised to you remains stronger. I will support the pro-poor aganda due to the fact that it is inclusive. It takes into account youth empowerment, encouragement of women involvement, gender base violence, education and others activities that will definitely have positive impact on all Liberians. Nothing is going to change that. Watch out for “pro-poor life” coming soon.

Today, I felt the love from my fans. I mean real love. Thanks to the Ministry of Gender for the launch of the 16 days of activism against gender based violence. I could not have let that day go without been a part of history.

Thanks to the UN Women, and others who are helping to push this message. Rape is crime and it’s not a family matter. Our government will persecute anyone who gets involve in such act.

We are getting recognize, I see us getting there.
