South Korean indie band LUCY is set to perform at the “KB Kookmin Card Starshop with 2025 Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival” on August 3, taking place at the Songdo Moonlight Festival Park in Incheon. Known for their vibrant live performances and dynamic sound, LUCY will showcase their signature energetic band music during one of Korea’s most iconic summer festivals.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year under the theme “Pentaport 2.0: The 20-Year-Old Pentaport”, the Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival continues to solidify its status as a premier international music event. Since its inception in 2006, it has attracted top artists from Korea and around the world, becoming a defining musical event for the city of Incheon and the Korean rock scene.
LUCY Set to Deliver High-Energy Summer Vibes
LUCY plans to bring their refreshing sound and vibrant stage presence to the festival crowd with a setlist perfectly tailored for summer. Known for their unique string-driven melodies and artistic musical style, the band is expected to energize fans with tracks like their hit song “Flowering”, creating an exhilarating atmosphere and cementing their reputation as a dominant force on the summer festival circuit.
This summer, LUCY has been one of the most in-demand acts across Korea’s major music festivals. Their name has appeared on the lineups for top events like the Seoul Jazz Festival 2025, Busan One Asia Festival 2025, NOL Festival: SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer, and Soundberry Festa 25, showcasing their wide appeal and robust live performance capabilities.
Three Nights of Rock Begin with Pentaport’s 20th Anniversary
The 2025 Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival officially kicks off today, offering three consecutive nights of rock under the summer sky. British alternative rock band Pulp is scheduled to headline the second night, August 2. Renowned for hits like “Common People” and “Babies”, as well as their raw and relatable lyrics, the band will also present tracks from their new album “More”, marking their first release in 24 years.
On the final day, August 3, Korean-American rapper Audrey Nuna will hit the stage. She gained recent popularity for voicing the character Mira from the Netflix animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters, playing a key role in the fictional K-pop girl group Huntress.
The night will culminate with a performance by Beck, the Grammy-winning American singer-songwriter. With eight Grammy wins under his belt, Beck will return to a Korean stage for the first time in nine years, promising an unforgettable headline set.
Diverse Global Lineup and Local Rock Legends
This year’s festival features a rich mix of international and Korean artists. Japanese rock band Asian Kung-Fu Generation and British rapper Little Simz add to the global appeal of the event.
On the domestic front, legendary punk rock band Crying Nut, celebrating their 30th anniversary, joins a lineup that also includes Jaurim, Butterfly on Line 3, and Nerd Connection. Initially scheduled performers Deafheaven and Beabadoobee withdrew before the event, with their slots now filled by Lee Seung Yoon and Glen Check, respectively.
The festival also highlights rising talent with the Penta Super Rookie competition. This year’s grand prize winner Confined White, along with silver award recipient Bigongjeong, will have the opportunity to perform in front of a large festival audience.
A Summer Festival That Defines a City
As it marks two decades of music and culture, the Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival not only celebrates rock but also serves as a vibrant symbol of the city’s creative spirit. With both international stars and local legends taking the stage, and a spotlight on emerging talent, the 2025 edition promises to be a powerful reminder of why this festival remains one of Asia’s most celebrated summer events.
