Bernard Blue Benson, better known as DJ Blue, is a Liberian disc jockey and entrepreneur. He was born and raised in Brewerville, near the Liberian capital Monrovia. DJ Blue started his career as a hobby in the early 1990s, but later began playing at night clubs and events across the US and the Caribbean.
He and his partners, Cypha D’King and Hazem Harb inked a deal with Magic FM in 2006 to create the Lonestar promotional radio show, the Blue Link Show. In 2008, they established Hott FM 107.9, a radio station described as Liberia’s number one hip-hop and hipco radio station, with branches in Monrovia, Gbarnga, and Ganta.

Benson attended the Lott Carey Mission High School in Liberia up to 11th grade. He emigrated to the US in 1988, where he completed his high schooling at Norcross High School in the state of Georgia. Blue later completed a two years course at Ferris State University in Michigan in the field of HVAC, and continued his studies at Georgia Southwestern State University in America, Georgia.
