Captain Planet, known in real life as Sylvanus Jeoffrey is the husband of the new MTN Liberia CEO Uche Ofodile.
Captain Planet is a member of popular Ghanaian hiplife music group in GHana called 4×4 which is made up of Raphael Avornyo, known in showbiz as Coded and Prince Tamakloe known simply as Fresh Prince.
Captain planet together with Coded were discovered by then famous and popular hiplife duo Buk Bak in 2002 after participating in a talent hunt programme known as Kiddafest. Buk Bak who were by then by far the biggest hiplife artistes in Ghana took the duo under their care and helped them release their first Album the following year in 2003. From there the duo never looked back and went ahead to release top charting singles through the years.

Over the years and in the course of their career as a hiplife group, Captain Planet served as the rapper of the group while Coded did most of the signing before they were joined in 2009 by Prince who aided Coded in the singing and doing the hooks while Captain Planet still maintained his role as the rapper.
Besides being the rapper of the group, as the eldest of the trio he also acted as the spokesperson and leader, usually speaking on behalf of the group on issues related to them or their career as a music group.
In 2014, he surprised his then Nigerian girlfriend, and former senior executive of Vodafone Ghana, who now heads MTN Liberia, Uche Ofodile, by proposing to her on her birthday. Months later the two got married and have been together for four years now with a daughter to show for it.
However, from 2014, the career of 4×4 began to take a nosedive, with no hits coming out of the camp of the trio, this has culminated into an almost 3 year period of stagnation and inactivity on the part of the group.
During this inactive period, Captain Planet had been able to launch a very successful solo project with singles including Blessed, Obi Agye Obi Girl and Akpeteshie.
At the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), his smash hit single Obi Agye Obi Girl was adjudged Best Music Video of the Year.
Notwithstanding the success of his solo project, the rapper has consistently insisted that the group 4×4 was still in existence and hasn’t broken up as suspected by some section of the Ghanaian public.
