Luke Phibion Masamvu’s Funeral

A Zimbabwean Member of Parliament for Mutasa-North constituency, Luke Phibion Masamvu, has reportedly died of COVID-19.

Reports say Luke Phibion Masamvu, 69, died on Saturday, January 30, 2021.

He left behind 79 children and 12 wives. Family spokesperson and brother of the late lawmaker had this to say to the state media about his death.

“It is a very sad day for the entire Masamvu family. We have lost a big family man who also served his country in Parliament”.

It’s reported that there was drama at the funeral as two Members of Parliament who attended exchanged blows over reasons yet to be known.
