Jinjer Announces 2026 Spain Shows – In Vain Prepares New Album – Vuelo Fidji Wins Memorial Contest

Jinjer to Perform in Spain as Part of 2026 European Tour

Ukrainian progressive metal and metalcore powerhouse Jinjer has officially announced two exclusive shows in Spain as part of their upcoming “European Duél Tour 2026.” The tour will showcase their highly anticipated new album, Duél.

Led by the dynamic and captivating vocalist Tatiana Shmayluk, the four-piece band is set to electrify Madrid on February 7 at Sala Wagon, followed by a performance in Bilbao on February 8 at Sala Santana 27. After their explosive set at Resurrection Fest EG 2025, fans can expect two intense nights filled with groove, technical precision, and unrelenting energy.

Tickets for both concerts are limited, and demand is expected to be high—fans are encouraged to secure theirs early.

In Vain Readies Seventh Studio Album

Madrid-based power thrash metal band In Vain has revealed that all tracks for their upcoming seventh studio album are now fully written. Recording is scheduled to begin in early fall 2025 at IV Estudios, with Iván Gutiérrez returning as producer.

The new album, slated for release in the second half of 2026, will follow the critically acclaimed Back to Nowhere (2024, Fighter Records), which was praised by both fans and music critics.

Staying true to their signature blend of raw aggression, melody, and powerful delivery, the band promises a continuation of their heavy sound—enhanced this time by even stronger influences from classic heavy metal.

Lee Rocker Delivers Energetic Set with Sound Issues

Lee Rocker, famed upright bassist of the Stray Cats, took the stage late at night to deliver a lively rock ’n’ roll performance. While the set included solid material and energy, it was hampered by sound issues and a lack of chemistry from the newer members of the band—except for standout guitarist Buzz Campbell, who impressed with his sharp performance.

Vuelo Fidji Takes Top Prize at Memorial Alberto Cano

The band Vuelo Fidji has won the first prize at the 36th edition of the Memorial Alberto Cano Modern Music Contest, held in Albacete. The award, which includes €5,000 for the recording and production of a full-length album, was presented by Albacete Mayor Manuel Serrano, who praised the band and wished them a bright future in the music industry.

The final event, held at the city’s iconic Recinto Ferial, featured a lineup of six finalists: Vuelo Fidji, Indiego, Reino Polar, Temécula, Luna, and D.E.P., selected from 36 competing entries this year.

Mayor Serrano, joined by Culture Councilor Elena Serrallé and Feria Councilor Francisco Navarro, emphasized the local government’s commitment to supporting culture in all its forms, especially emerging local talent.

Special congratulations were extended to the band Luna, which received the Youth Special Prize along with a €1,000 cash award. Luna was also among the finalists, underscoring the growing importance of this category, which attracted a record seven entries this year.

Other winners included Reino Polar, who took second prize (€1,000), and D.E.P., who secured third (€500). Finalists Temécula, Luna, and Indiego each received €250. Additional honors went to Vuelo Fidji for Best Song with “Lucky Strite” (€150) and to Javier Tejada of Temécula, who was recognized as Best Instrumentalist (€150).

Mayor Serrano expressed hope that the competition would act as a launchpad for all participants, highlighting the professional standard and prestige of the Memorial Alberto Cano contest. He also commended the jury for their careful and thoughtful selection process in determining the winners among such strong contenders.
