Liberia is currently investigating the mysterious disappearance of more than $100m of newly printed bank notes intended for the central bank.

Containers that were filled with the money were taken from the port at the end of March by central bank staff, but never arrived at the Central Bank.

A campaign “Bring Back The Money” has been launched on Social Media and in the streets of Liberia as Liberians express shock on how the container ‘missed’ its way into ‘greedy pockets’.

Liberian musicians as usual have joined the campaign both on social media and in the studios. Kpanto and A. Fo4Do teamed up on “Bring Back The Container” while MC Caro went solo on “Bring Back Our Money”.

Musicians in Liberia have always addressed societal issues through music. MC Caro, Bucky Raw and many others expressed their views and support for the President’s “Pro Poor Agenda” through music.

The international media reported that Liberians fought Ebola with music.

MusicLiberia.com has gathered that several artistes are in the studios recording their versions of “Bring Back The Money” campaign songs.
