Nearly 60,000 people attend Ebony’s one-week celebration

The school compound, including nearby houses and streets were flooded with scores of people, family, friends, sympathisers and fans for the one-week memorial service of Dancehall act Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng also known as Ebony Reigns.

Several musicians, ministers and dignitaries were present to pay their respect and commiserate with the family.

In any typical Ghanaian society, after the passing of a dear one, family and friends meet a week after the death mainly to make plans towards the organization of the funeral rites and also give opportunity for those who may not have been able to pay courtesy call to the family, to do so.

The ‘Date your Fada’ hit maker died alongside two others, a close friend, rumored to be her partner and a military officer who was her bodyguard.
