Todd Anthony Bridges was born in San Francisco, California in May 1965. His parents were both in show business as well as his brother Jimmy and sister Verda. His son Spencir Bridges appeared in an episode of iCarly and the movie Daddy Day Camp. Todd first appeared on The Young and the Restless in 1973. He also was on the show Barney Miller and the mini-series Roots. He played Willis Jackson on Diff’rent Strokes from 1978 to 1986. He battled an addiction with crack cocaine in his 20s and was arrested for attempted murder in 1988. He was represented by Johnnie Cochran and was acquitted of all charges. From 2007 to 2009 he played the role of Monk on the show Everybody Hates Chris. He has appeared on Fear Factor, TruTV Presents: World’s Dumbest, and Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Championship Wrestling. He wrote a book called Killing Willis: From Diff’rent Strokes to the Mean Streets to the Life I Always Wanted in 2008. Bridges’ yet to be released projects include Dependent’s Day, Precious Mettle, Dead Ringer, Bar Chronicles, and College Fright Night.
